Broken R Stables is a small family oriented business located 45
miles south of Jackson, Tennessee and three miles from the
Mississippi state line. We are only 20 miles from
the historic Ames Plantation, which hosts the Annual National
Bird Dog Field Trials that attracts bird dog enthusiasts as well
as horse enthusiasts from across the United States.
Our small breeding operation is run by Gene and Brandon
Ross with much patience and support from other family members.
We have shown performance horses for many
years,
but are now ready for the more relaxed atmosphere of raising
colorful foals with a naturally smooth gait and a gentle
disposition of the Tennessee Walking Horses. We will also
enjoy our horse by trail riding and exhibiting them in pleasure
classes. Watching our foals grow and develop into mounts
that their new owners will be proud of for years to come, gives
us great satisfaction.
At the present time, our broodmare band is small, our stallions
young, and we have several fillies that will soon be a major
part of our operation that are grazing on the 40 plus acres of
our small farm. We hope you enjoy our website, and return
to it often, as we will be updating frequently as our new foals
arrive.
We also raise a few different breeds of small dogs. We
breed, raise and sell, Yorkies, Maltese, West Highland White
Terriers, Papillons, King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Malta-poos,
and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our puppies are
pampered almost as much as our horses.
